Whian Whian photoshoot

Very exciting – first photoshoot! On the 24th February Wi Hihanni and I had fun creating a photoshoot, at Whian Whian Falls, with a few pieces of our work. All part of a wonderful course run by Caroline Fisher “Love Your Camera” through Byron Community College. Below are some of my shots taken in the middle [...]

Trinity visits Hammer and Hand

Yesterday a delightful group of Year 9 students from Trinity Catholic College Lismore visited Hammer and Hand in Byron Bay. The visit was organised by Trinity’s Science and Technology teacher Col Ferderer who is introducing the students to jewellery making. The Inverted World – exhibition pieces by Eve

Here are the 4 pieces I made for the exhibition. It was a great night with top music and lovely people. I’m already wondering what we might have as our theme for our next exhibition. (if you can’t see the full picture just click on it)

It was developed in Japan in the 1990s and is an amazing (and challenging) medium made from recycled silver, that when fired becomes fine silver. It has endless possibilities that I am only beginning to explore. But keep checking back because [...]

Wire wrapped pendants

Then when the supporting structure is in place I embelish each piece with 2mm and 3mm sterling silver beads. I add a few beads here, then a few beads there as [...]

Funky upcycled floppy disc earrings

These are some of the funky upcycled earrings I make from floppy discs and fine silver wire, with sterling silver ear wires. I had been saving my floppy discs for the last few years because I knew I wanted to use them in some sort of jewellery – and now I have. I hammer the [...]
