Bruce Hay
Bruce is an Artist/Craftsman who lives and works in Tasmania.
Having been self employed since 1971 Bruce’s knowledge and skills extend across a wide range of disciplines within the arts including; leather work, metal work. jewellery making, printmaking, wood work, film making, theatre work and teaching.
His work has been shown across the country in numerous exhibitions.
Bruce has studied a Batchelor of Fine Arts at The University of Tasmania majoring in print making and sculpture.
He has vast experience in teaching roles including 10 years with Tafe Tasmania and 25 years with Adult Education. He has been running various programs in the disability services and youth services sector for over 30 years.
Bruce presents a teaching program that is backed by experience, offering real-life skills based tuition. His hands on approach and boundless enthusiasm for the arts have made him successful in this role.
Bruce is currently self employed at Hammer and Hand at the Salamanca Arts Centre and at Hand Cut Kangaroo in Cygnet.
