Wire wrapped pendants

I ‘ve wire wrapped these semi-precious stones with both fine silver and sterling silver wires. The stone itself, its shape and striations, is my inspiration. Then when the supporting structure is in place I embelish each piece with 2mm and 3mm sterling silver beads. I add a few beads here, then a few beads there as the piece calls for it. These pendants really are about listening and letting the stone itself speak to me.

This was a commission by a dear friend and as a result I discovered a lovely new form of jewellery making. Thanks Rosie
